Job summary

The Recovery Village Indianapolis is seeking a dynamic Behavioral Health Medication Technician to join our compassionate team. This role delivers direct care in a residential setting, reads medication orders, monitors self-administration, and ensures safe handling of medications.

You will work with nursing and clinical staff, observe patient behaviors, document care, and participate in treatment activities to support recovery.

Qualifications

• QMA certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of behavioral health or related field preferred.
• Valid CPR and Standard First Aid certifications.
• Good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient vitals.
• Observe and record patient self-administration of medication.
• Conduct patient safety checks and shift hand-offs.
• Assist with admissions and orientation of new patients.
• Engage patients during meals and activities to build rapport.
• Support nursing staff with vitals, breathalyzers, urine drug screens, and related procedures.
• Observe and report changes in patient behavior or safety concerns to the treatment team.
• Respond to emergencies and de-escalate when needed.
• Maintain infection control and biohazard safety standards.
