Job summary

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe in Ammon is seeking a talented part-time Assistant Bread Baker who is passionate about quality, community, and great customer service. You will join a dynamic team offering artisanal, sweet, and seasonal breads baked with honest ingredients.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and afternoon/evening availability. Shifts start mid-morning to early evening with a Sunday shift; holiday weeks may include overnight hours.

Qualifications

• Large-scale baking/pastry experience (preferred but not required; training offered)
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, & federal regulations for food handler & sanitation standards
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus!
• Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation is required

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes to bake artisan breads and pastries.
• Lift up to 50 lbs of dough, flour and other supplies as needed.
• Stand and walk for long periods during shifts with limited seating.
• Work afternoons/evenings; Sunday shift; occasional overnight shifts during holidays.
