Job summary

Spectra-Tech Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented AOI Inspector to examine PCB assemblies in an electronic manufacturing environment. You will operate AOI equipment to identify workmanship defects and verify conformance to IPC-A-610 standards and customer requirements.

Previous experience with AOI or electronics is helpful but not required; training will be provided. This position includes a $500 hiring/retention bonus, a $100/month attendance incentive, and every Friday off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or electronics experience is beneficial but not required.
• Experience with AOI equipment and IPC-A-610 standards is preferred, but training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize small defects.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, procedures, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate AOI equipment to inspect PCB assemblies.
• Load and unload circuit boards safely.
• Review inspection results and determine defects or false calls.
• Inspect boards for missing, damaged, or misaligned components.
• Identify soldering defects such as insufficient solder or bridges.
• Perform visual inspection using magnification as needed.
• Inspect products according to IPC-A-610 standards and customer requirements.
• Document inspection results in production and quality records.
• Communicate defects to Production and Quality teams.
• Stop and report issues when defects are recurrent or significant.
• Follow ESD controls and maintain a clean workspace.
