Job summary

IU Health Methodist is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesiology teams in trauma cases and routine operating room procedures. You will manage supply levels, assist with equipment setup, and help maintain essential pressure monitoring devices in a high-acuity environment.

The role is full-time with an evening shift and no weekend requirements. A High School diploma and BLS are required, with 1–3 years of relevant experience and knowledge of anesthesia drugs and supplies.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
BLS certification through the AHA is required; other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department.
1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
Knowledge of anesthesia drugs and supplies for ordering and maintaining supply levels.
Knowledge of equipment setup and maintenance and ability to perform minor troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Set up, troubleshoot and maintain pressure monitoring equipment.
Assist Anesthesiologists and CRNAs during trauma cases with supply and equipment needs.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels of anesthesia drugs and supplies for the operating room area.
