Job summary

IU Health's Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis seeks an Anesthesia Technician for a full-time day shift. The role supports Anesthesiologists and CRNAs in trauma and other cases, ensuring supplies and equipment are ready in one of Indiana's premier Level I pediatric trauma hospitals with 16 ORs across multiple specialties.

You will maintain inventory of anesthesia drugs and supplies, set up and troubleshoot equipment, and help maintain pressure monitoring devices to support safe,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Requires knowledge of anesthesia drugs and supplies for ordering and maintaining supply levels.
• Requires knowledge of equipment setup and maintenance along with the ability to perform minor troubleshooting of equipment.

Anesthesia Technicians assist Anesthesiologists and CRNAs during trauma cases and other special cases with their supply and equipment needs. Maintains appropriate inventory levels of anesthesia drugs and supplies for the operating room area. Sets up, troubleshoots and maintains pressure monitoring equipment.
