Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital Anesthesiology department. The role is part-time (20 hours per week) with a 2-week alternating on-call schedule.

Responsibilities include setting up monitoring equipment, assisting with arterial lines and catheters, calibrating monitoring systems, transferring patients, and maintaining equipment in the OR.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification must be obtained within 6 months.
• High School Graduate.
• Typically 1 year of experience in a surgical/medical healthcare setting.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Sets up monitoring equipment in the operating room, including ECG and temperature systems.
• Assists with arterial line and catheter insertions and specimen collection.
• Calibrates pressures and recording systems for accurate readings.
• Transfers patients to and from the operating room and maintains documentation.
• Ensures equipment cleanliness and daily maintenance.
