Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia providers across ORs, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and other locations. Evening full-time schedule with 2:30pm-11:00pm and rotating call; performs equipment setup, monitoring initiation, and assists in patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Includes working in preop, PACU, ICU as needed; strong English communication required; ASATT preferred; BLS required; one year hospital experience if not ASATT certified.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year hospital experience if not ASATT certified; no experience if ASATT certified.
• BLS certification required; ASATT preferred.
• Strong English reading/writing and customer service communication.
• Ability to use hospital IT systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs anesthesia support activities in monitoring locations (OR, Cath Lab, ICU, etc.).
• Sets up, calibrates, and checks anesthesia equipment before patient connection.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas and follows infection control standards.
