Job summary

NCW Libraries is seeking a Library Assistant to serve as a substitute on-call team member. The role supports branch operations, assists patrons, issues library cards, checks materials in and out, and handles basic transactions under supervision.

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and customer service experience. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred. Availability for evenings and weekends; ability to lift up to 45 lbs and work with computers and library systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous support to internal and external customers.

• Collaborate with staff and adhere to library policies and procedures.
