Shannon Medical Center is seeking an Admissions/Intake LVN for part-time evening/overnight shifts (5:00pm–3:00am or 6:00pm–6:00am). The LVN coordinates admission processes, receives referrals, and supports the Admissions RN to ensure smooth patient intake and accurate documentation.

The role requires active LVN licensure in Texas, BLS (within 90 days), and SAFE Level III certification (within 6 months). Experience in mental health or related fields is preferred; you will provide direct patient

Qualifications

• Licensed LVN in the State of Texas is required.
• BLS certification required or must obtain within 90 days of start date.
• SAFE Approach Level III certification must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate aspects of the Admissions Process.
• Receive and direct inquiry calls and referrals.
• Collaborate with Admissions RN to facilitate admission.
• Log and track referrals through the electronic system.
• Assist Admissions Nurse with referral review and processing.
• Manage and coordinate Bed Board.
• Obtain and input Admission Orders.
• Provide patient safety monitoring and observation.
• Document patient information and care; ensure accuracy of records.
• Apply crisis intervention skills; respond to emergencies.
• Provide direct care for diverse populations including children through geriatrics.
• Adhere to care protocols, facility policies, infection control and safety guidelines; attend trainings.
• Perform other clinical duties as assigned.
• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program.
