Job summary

PAM Voyages Behavioral Health of Sugar Land is seeking an Intake Licensed Vocational Nurse to screen admissions and relay information to physicians to determine patient level of care. You will work closely with nursing, clinical staff and the Intake department to ensure timely admissions.

This full-time role requires LVN licensure in the state, BLS, and crisis management certification. Prior admissions experience in behavioral healthcare is preferred, with 2–3 years being desirable.

Qualifications

• LVN required and licensed in the state where the hospital resides.
• BLS certification required.
• Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.
• Experience in admissions and understanding of behavioral healthcare preferred (2–3 years).

Responsibilities

• Screen patient admissions and communicate information to the physician to determine level of care.
• Collaborate with nursing, clinical staff and Intake department to ensure timely admission of patients.
• Contribute to department meetings, quality initiatives and maintain services within TJC requirements.
