Job summary

Haven of Bridgeport is seeking an Activity Aide to lead engaging activities for residents, fostering socialization and independence. This part-time role runs 3:00 PM–7:00 PM and every other weekend, with opportunities to plan programs and events that enhance quality of life.

You will collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to create meaningful experiences, maintain documentation, and build a welcoming community for residents in our Bridgeport facility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in activities, recreation, social programming, healthcare, or senior living is preferred
• Compassionate and enthusiastic approach to working with residents
• Creative and energetic personality
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Dependable, responsible, and able to work as part of a team
• Must be available to work 3:00 PM–7:00 PM and every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group and one-on-one resident activities
• Plan and support recreational programs, special events, and celebrations
• Encourage resident participation and social engagement
• Build positive relationships with residents and promote a sense of community
• Assist with Resident Council meetings and monthly engagement initiatives
• Maintain accurate activity documentation
• Work collaboratively with nursing, therapy, and other departments
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment
