Job summary

Agropur Cooperative in Jerome, ID is seeking an Evaporator Operator to monitor whey flow and control process variables from balance tank through pasteurizer, evaporator, and crystallizer to produce dried Sweet Dairy Whey powder. You will read and log up to fifty variables and adjust whey solids, temperature, and other factors.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of related experience; familiarity with GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, HACCP is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum two (2) years of related experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).

Responsibilities

• Monitor raw whey flow into balance tank, through pasteurizer and to evaporator for condensing and then ultimately to a crystallizer tank for drying into dried Sweet Dairy Whey powder production.
• Regulate factors such as whey solids and temperature and make adjustments depending on the type of whey to be produced.
• Take frequent readings and log upwards of fifty variables.
