Job summary

Agropur in Jerome, ID is seeking a Dryer Operator I to manage the whey permeate dryer and support daily production, quality, and safety objectives. You will perform routine operations, cleaning, and basic maintenance to keep systems running smoothly.

The role requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and at least two years of related experience. Starting wage is $23.12 per hour with planned increases and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a related field required.
• Ability to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).
• Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
• Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the whey permeate dryer and ensure optimum daily performance and quality permeate and protein powder production.
• Perform daily operations and cleaning of equipment associated with the dryer operation.
• Perform operator level maintenance when needed.
• Safe operation and sanitation of equipment.
• Sustain and support automated systems.
• Follow procedures and work instructions set forth through SOP's and Master Sanitation Schedules.
