The EVDD team sits at Ford’s electric transformation, providing broad experience across CAD, build, supplier interaction, and quality improvement.

This hybrid role requires onsite four days a week in Dearborn with up to 10% travel to Ford

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics engineering.
• Experience with 3D CAD and wiring harnesses.
• Ability to read schematics and 2D prints.
• Experience presenting to stakeholders at plant and HQ.
• Supplier relationship experience.

Responsibilities

• Design wiring harnesses meeting cost, weight, quality, and timing goals.
• Apply robustness, PD Diagram, FMEA, and related tools to ensure requirements compliance.
• Lead technical design reviews with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Release parts in WERS and support Change Control meetings.
• Audit BOM and manage harness prototype levels and accuracy post-Job.
• Support validation and testing per requirements and specifications.
