Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI seeks a Product Development Engineer for wiring low voltage harnesses. You will own full lifecycle from design to post-launch support, impacting cost, weight and quality across vehicle platforms.

The role requires 2+ years in CAD/wire harness work, strong stakeholder communication, and travel up to 10%. Onsite presence in Dearborn is expected four days weekly as part of a dynamic EV/EDDS effort.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics preferred).
• 2+ years CAD experience (3D) and familiarity with wire harness design.
• Experience reading systems schematics and 2D wire harness prints.
• Strong ability to present to stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with supplier relationships and cost awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design wiring harnesses to meet cost, weight, quality, and timing targets.
• Lead design reviews with cross‑functional teams and GTBC Ford México collaboration.
• Support parts release in inWERS and Change Control processes.
• Audit BOMs and manage part usage for prototypes.
• Travel up to 10% to collaborate with peers.
• Work onsite in Dearborn, Michigan 4 days per week.
