Job summary

Ford Motor Company’s Advanced EV Team seeks an EDS Integration Engineer to define the nervous system for Model e. You will own end-to-end vehicle-side electrical wire harness design and integration, bridging architecture and real-world testing during lab-car brings-up and initial vehicle handoffs.

Lead Zonal architecture, multi-voltage power distribution, high-speed data management, and ECAD development using Capital, Zuken, or Vector tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in EDS design and development in automotive, aerospace, or robotics industries.
• Hands-on ECAD tooling experience with Capital, Zuken, or Vector Preevision.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals including Ohm's law, voltage drop, and thermal management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical wiring system design from concept to production, focusing on zonal distribution to reduce weight and improve efficiency.
• Architect and integrate multi-voltage power distribution with wire sizing, fusing, and terminal selection.
• Design for high-speed data integrity across the vehicle data backbone and manage shielded circuits for ADAS sensors and Automotive Ethernet.
• Partner with subsystem engineers on harness partitioning to minimize wire count and cost; support lab-car and vehicle bring-up.
• Develop ECAD schematics and resolve integration issues using professional tools; ensure manufacturability and safety compliance.
