Job summary

Dew Software, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Test Engineer – Power Electronics (Traction Inverters) to support testing and validation of high-voltage traction inverter systems for electric vehicle applications.

The ideal candidate has a foundation in electrical engineering, power electronics, lab testing, and data analysis, with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, develop test procedures, and document engineering findings for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience, including internships or academic projects.
• Understanding of power electronics, three-phase systems, motors, and motor drives.
• Experience with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, loads, analyzers).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute verification, validation, and reliability testing of traction inverters and components.
• Set up lab test benches and operate test equipment.
• Perform functional, thermal, efficiency, environmental, and fault-injection testing.
• Analyze test data to identify issues and trends.
• Support hardware bring-up and debugging.
• Develop and maintain test procedures, reports, and docs.
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support automated tests and data acquisition systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on development and validation.
• Follow high-voltage lab safety procedures.
