Job summary

General Motors in Milford, MI is seeking a Thermal Calibration Engineer for the EV Thermal Calibration team. You will own high-quality calibrations for BEV3/BET programs and collaborate across calibration, software, and program teams.

The role includes developing and optimizing calibrations, building analytical tools, and scripting for RLM tools, with a hybrid work arrangement and travel <25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
• 2+ years in SW/Controls development, calibration, verification, or validation.
• Experience with in-vehicle testing and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Experience with data acquisition and analysis.
• Independent worker who collaborates well in a team.
• Willing to gain training and adapt to program changes.
• Strong time management to meet customer deliverables across projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize calibrations to meet performance and timing requirements.
• Develop analytical tools to develop and verify calibrations.
• Write scripts to develop RLM tools.
• Capture and analyze empirical data efficiently.
• Support virtual calibration development and execution (VDDV).
• Own delivery of high-quality thermal calibrations for BEV3/BET programs.
• Coordinate calibration activities with calibrators and leads.
