Job summary

Sigma Software is seeking an EV Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair electric vehicles, support prototype builds, and conduct testing across multiple locations in the United States. The role requires diagnosing systems, installing instrumentation, and ensuring safety in a busy workshop.

The ideal candidate will have an automotive repair background with ASE and state certification, plus experience with EV battery systems and field testing.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Automotive Repair or related program.
  • ASE Certification.
  • Michigan State Mechanic Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair activities on electric vehicles.
  • Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Conduct post-repair testing to ensure vehicles are operating correctly.
  • Ensure all repair work meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Support prototype vehicle builds and system modifications.
  • Install and maintain instrumentation required for vehicle testing and data collection.
  • Construct and install test harnesses for vehicle systems.
  • Safely apply testing equipment to EV high-voltage battery systems.
  • Travel extensively to vehicle testing sites across the United States (up to 70%).
  • Maintain shop cleanliness, safety protocols, and inventory records.
