Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Albany, NY seeks an in-shop Electric Vehicle Technician to join our Distribution team on-site. You will work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, performing basic EV repairs and scheduled maintenance with proper parts, tools, and documented procedures.

This position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to advance through ASE EV certifications, training, and hands-on experience with BEV systems.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electric vehicles.
• Knowledge of EV operation and EV safety practices.
• ASE EV certifications preferred.
• Accelera software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies documented procedures and policies to perform basic repairs and maintenance.
• Performs preventative maintenance on BEV units based on assessments.
• Completes required documentation, including service reports.
• Assists with BEV system disassembly using proper tools.
• Maintains work areas and tools to ensure cleanliness and safety.
