Job summary

Orange EV in Kansas City is seeking a Production Quality Inspector to ensure quality and compliance of high‑voltage batteries, powertrains, and vehicle assemblies. You will perform in‑line and end‑of‑line inspections, read schematics, and document nonconformities while working closely with the Quality Engineer and cross‑functional teams.

The role requires 3+ years in QA/QC, experience with electrical/electronic components, and hands‑on work in a production setting.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years QA/QC inspection experience, preferably in automotive or electrical manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with inspection SOPs, control plans, and checklists.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Background in sheet metal fabrication, coating, or electrical/electronic component assembly is preferred.
• Awareness of CSA marks, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949 standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-line and final inspections of electrical assemblies, including wiring harnesses, connectors, relays, sensors, and power distribution modules.
• Interpret and apply electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to validate build accuracy.
• Maintain traceability of serialized parts and assemblies, ensuring accurate documentation and data entry.
• Perform Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) on charger systems to ensure they meet all required Quality standards.
• Document non‑conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues in real time.
• Support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and contribute to quality‑related training and awareness efforts.
