Job summary

Alpitronic in the United States seeks a Production Quality Specialist to master the product, its design, features and subcomponents for manufacturing excellence in the EV charging space.

You will lead quality control, root-cause analysis, process improvements, and training while collaborating with engineering and suppliers to ensure safe, reliable on-site production in Charlotte/Fort Mill area.

Qualifications

• BS/AS in Electrical Engineering or technical discipline.
• 3+ years in Quality manufacturing to ISO 9001 standards or minimum 5 years’ experience in the printed circuit / assembly industry - with current relevant work experience.
• Analytical & Statistical creation and Reporting, an asset
• Working knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-610 class 2 requirements), asset
• Certification in Quality Engineering Auditing experience or certification to ISO 9001, an asset
• Certification in Quality Engineering, an asset
• Quality manufacturing support experience at the Assembly & PCB level, an asset
• Certified Internal Auditor, an asset.
• Ability to train and develop the production team in best practice and quality inspection technique.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong Microsoft Office application skills, including Excel and Word, PowerPoint, Minitab.
• Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Product Knowledge: The product expert must have an in-depth understanding of the product including all sub components.
• Quality Control: Ensuring that the product meets the required quality standards is a primary responsibility.
• Problem Solving: Root cause analysis, corrective actions, and prevention of recurrence across components and systems.
• Process Improvement: Drive cycles of improvement, optimize workflows and reduce costs.
• Technical Support: Provide guidance to production teams; act as the link between production, design, and suppliers.
• Documentation: Maintain records for traceability and reference.
• Training: Conduct staff training on best practices for manufacturing and quality inspection.
• Communication: Coordinate with engineering, production and suppliers to align on issues.
• Safety: Prioritize safety in production environments and mitigate hazards.
• Product Testing and Validation: Oversee testing to ensure performance and safety standards.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams for smooth transitions to US production.
