Job summary

Astemo, Ltd. in the United States seeks a Motor Production Engineer to support xEV programs for hybrid and electric vehicle motors.

You will establish specifications, equipment, processes, quotations, and other documentation, and oversee acquisition and installation of new manufacturing equipment. This role ensures equipment delivers world-class uptime and reliability, that parts meet specs, and projects are completed on schedule.

Qualifications

• Broad engineering skills spanning mechanical design, machine design, automation, controls, robotics, pneumatics, optical inspection, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with PC-based tools and programming; ability to navigate manufacturing systems.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor other engineers and technicians.
• Ability to make quick, data-driven decisions with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define specifications for electric motor equipment and related manufacturing processes.
• Oversee development, procurement, and installation of new production equipment.
• Ensure equipment delivers uptime and reliability meeting customer specs.
• Coordinate with process, design, QA, maintenance, and production teams to apply best practices.
