Job summary

Proterra in Greer, SC is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality across modules and components for EV battery systems. You will own supplier development strategy, drive complex quality issue resolution, and serve as the primary technical interface with manufacturing partners to ensure quality, cost, and schedule targets.

Responsibilities include implementing APQP/PPAP, leading supplier audits, managing 8D/NCR processes, and applying GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2018.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in supplier quality engineering in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and 8D corrective action.
• Proficiency in GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2018.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supplier development strategies aligned to production and cost goals.
• Lead supplier audits and manage corrective actions to closure.
• Monitor supplier KPIs, NCRs, and PPAP submissions with trend analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations on APQP timelines.
