Job summary

UL Solutions seeks a hands-on Laboratory Technician for the EV / Energy Laboratory team in Northbrook, IL. You will perform safety and performance testing, operate specialized equipment, and analyze results to support product certification and safety validation.

You will collaborate with engineers, document findings, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Associate degree in electronics/engineering technology or equivalent.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Follow test plans and datasheets with supervision.
• Operate and maintain complex test equipment.
• Record, explain, and report test results.
• Lead simple test programs with guidance.
• Collaborate with engineers and customers to evaluate results.
