Job summary

Asbury in Warwick, RI is seeking an Automotive Service Technician (EV) to repair and diagnose vehicles, including electric systems and HVAC. The role offers hourly pay from $40.00 to $60.00, weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits.

You will perform routine repairs, document work, and stay current with manufacturer training in a fast-paced service environment. Qualified candidates have prior automotive experience, hold a valid driver’s license, pass pre-employment screening, and bring basic tools.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician experience required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass background & drug test.
• Must have basic tools and strong technical skills.
• ASE certifications heavily preferred.
• Manufacturer certifications heavily preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Communicate with service advisor if additional work is needed or cannot be completed in time.
• Maintain technician proficiency as defined by Asbury standards.
• Conduct road tests to determine work needed and to confirm completion.
• Perform diagnosis and repair on vehicles at all levels.
• Perform preventive/routine maintenance services.
• Utilize training from manufacturers and management.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training to expand knowledge of new tech.
• Maintain CSI metrics at or above company goals.
• Complete warranty repair orders and file warranty claims.
• Report safety or policy issues to management.
• Ensure vehicles are returned clean and presentable.
