Job summary

Via is hiring a Utility Worker to help maintain the safety, efficiency, and functionality of our fully electric vehicle fleet. This hands-on role covers daytime charging, moving vehicles to chargers, and supporting on-the-ground operations.

You'll monitor charge levels, coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance, perform basic maintenance tasks, and assist with organizational duties. Shifts run 11am–8pm or 8pm–5am; you must be at least 21 with a valid driver’s license and pass background

Qualifications

• You take initiative, solve problems on the fly, and love getting the job done.
• A dynamic team player who is willing to wear multiple hats and tackle projects of all types.
• Detail-oriented enough to keep track of vehicle schedules, yet hands‑on enough to jump into a repair.
• Comfortable driving and maneuvering minivans and larger cutaway-sized vehicles.
• Practical knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics and diagnostics is preferred (not mandatory).
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Successful completion of a drug test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle records check is mandatory. This includes a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no felonies, no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions, and no more than 2 speeding tickets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vehicle charge levels and maneuver vehicles to chargers as needed.
• Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance; shuttle vehicles to/from vendors; inspect for cleanliness and readiness.
• Perform smaller maintenance tasks (e.g., tire swaps, light repairs).
• Support the operations team with on-the-ground responsibilities, including maintaining equipment and organizing workspaces.
