Job summary

Inspiration Mobility Group is seeking an experienced Out-of-Stock Buyer for its Fleet Operations team. You will source, negotiate, and secure in-stock dealer vehicles that meet client specs, ensuring on-time delivery and cost targets.

You will also support the factory order team with procurement activities, data entry, and follow-up to help scale operations as demand grows. You will report to the Senior Director, Acquisitions and collaborate across procurement, logistics, and client-facing teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of full-time experience purchasing vehicles from dealerships.
• Deep understanding of dealer pricing structures, fleet incentives, and acquisition workflows.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Locate and secure in-stock dealer inventory meeting client specs, minimizing substitutions.
• Negotiate dealer purchase prices to protect fleet program margins within client pricing expectations.
• Leverage a broad dealer network, including trades and locates, to expand inventory and secure preferred pricing.
• Ensure fleet incentives, eligibility, and manufacturer allowances are captured on every out-of-stock purchase.
• Coordinate vehicle follow-up, delivery confirmation, and ensure all systems and records are updated on time.
• Maintain purchase documentation, titling, compliance records for every unit acquired.
• Provide coverage support to the factory order team, including data entry and follow-up to meet timelines.
• Assist with order expediting as needed to meet deployment schedules.
• Maintain procurement datasets, logs, and SOPs for audit-readiness and continuous improvement.
