Job summary

ALSO is recruiting a Commercial Fleet Service Technician to own the full service lifecycle for our Seattle-based commercial fleet. You will assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electric bicycles and related systems, ensuring fleet readiness and applying in-house software updates.

Role requires 5+ years of EV/auto maintenance, CAN bus diagnostics, and tool proficiency. In-person work five days a week with travel to events as needed; competitive hourly salary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; EV/ automotive training preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on bicycle/e-bike/EV maintenance experience.
• Experience with CAN bus diagnostics and fault-code troubleshooting is a plus.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with ECUs, flashing procedures and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, maintenance, repair, tear-downs, and component replacements on electric bicycles for fleet readiness.
• Oversee fleet service facility, including parts inventory and organized workflows.
• Develop service SOPs for the commercial fleet.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues at vehicle/subsystem level; escalate when needed.
• Manage vehicle readiness including software updates and ECU flashing with in-house tools.
• Pack/prepare vehicles for shipment and assist in vehicle receipt/assembly from commercial teams.
• Serve as technical contact for field teams; resolve issues remotely and escalate as necessary.
• Document service, repair, and troubleshooting with clear notes and defect reporting.
• Operate vehicles during shakedown, functional checks, and validation rides.
• Travel to support events and market fleets as required.
• Maintain tools and work areas in safe, organized condition.
