Job summary

Einride, a leader in digital, autonomous and electric freight technology, seeks a Fleet Technician based in Chicago, USA. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair our fleet, focusing on heavy‑duty EV engines, hydraulics and specialized machinery.

Expect to travel for on‑site PM, diagnostics and repairs, while keeping meticulous service records. Requires 2+ years in heavy vehicle repair, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license (CDL often required).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in repair of heavy duty vehicles (preferably electric).
• High school diploma or GED; vocational/diesel tech program preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required; CDL often required or obtained within probation.

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance (PM): Oil changes, fluid checks, inspections on heavy‑duty vehicles.
• Diagnostics and Repair: Use diagnostic tools to diagnose and repair electric vehicles (electrical systems, suspensions, brakes).
• Mobile Service/Field Service: Travel to sites for PM, diagnostics or repairs.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory logs in fleet software.
