Job Description

The role involves designing and developing production-quality scientific algorithms in Python to analyze customer energy consumption and characteristics, developing spatio-temporal algorithms for EV adoption prediction, validating algorithms based on business and technical needs, performing root-cause analysis, and collaborating with domain experts and stakeholders to implement practical solutions. Effective communication of technical findings to various audiences is essential.

Basic Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a highly quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • Knowledge of data science standards, model evaluation, optimization, and feature engineering.
  • Experience with spatio-temporal statistics, geospatial data analysis, and time series machine learning techniques.
  • 2+ years experience with large-scale time series data feature extraction.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R.
  • Experience in developing scalable scientific code.
  • Strong understanding of applied statistics and probability.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with large datasets and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and validation plans.
  • Industry experience in utilities, EV infrastructure, or related fields.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
