The Data Science & Artificial Intelligence Department develops data science and machine learning solutions, focusing on enabling data-driven decisions and process improvements across the company, especially in high-priority areas related to the sustainable grid of the future.

Position Summary

- The client seeks a Data Scientist experienced in delivering end-to-end data science products, with a focus on utility industry analytics to promote sustainability.

- Responsibilities include designing algorithms in Python for energy consumption patterns, predicting Electric Vehicle adoption, validating models, conducting root-cause analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand practical implications and deliver insights.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in a highly quantitative discipline (Engineering, CS, Physics, Econometrics, Mathematics, etc.)
• Knowledge of data science standards, model evaluation, feature engineering, and best practices
• Experience with spatio-temporal statistics, geospatial data, and large datasets
• 2+ years of experience with software development for large-scale time series data
• Proficiency in Python and/or R
• Experience in developing scalable scientific code
• Strong understanding of statistics and probability

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
