Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking a skilled automotive body repair technician to assess damage, plan repairs, and supervise apprentices as needed. The role involves performing quality repairs, deciding between repair and replacement based on safety and efficiency, and maintaining communication with the team to ensure on-time completion.

A frame machine, manufacturer knowledge, and I-CAR welding certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to use frame machine.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Experience analyzing measuring data.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Communicates repair status with team.
• Performs quality repairs and keeps to schedule.
• Decides on repair vs. replace based on safety, cost and cycle time.
• Accesses vehicle components by removing upholstery and trim as needed.
• Participates in safety meetings.
• Operates power and hand tools to finish surfaces.
