Job summary

RIDE Mobility in Indianapolis is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair buses and trucks under warranty at customer facilities and to support campaigns required by RIDE or the Customer vehicles.

The role requires knowledge of transit bus maintenance, EV/HV experience, and at least two years in field service. You must be able to travel, work weekends/nights, and possess a valid driver's license; ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transit bus maintenance operations and field service support.
• Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years' experience.
• EV or HV experience is essential.
• EV Truck and/or Transit bus Technician experience, preferably working in a field service environment.
• Experience with computer based diagnostics in bus maintenance operations and bus electric drive systems.
• Ability to travel and work in the Customer's environment; weekends, nights and long hours may occur.
• Valid driver's license with minimal infractions; class B with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
• ASE Transit Bus Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair warranty-related issues at customer facilities.
• Provide customer interface and reports on field maintenance activities.
• Respond to customer requests and assist with maintenance issues.
• Order parts as needed, coordinate repairs and prepare daily service reports.
• Coordinate new vehicle delivery acceptance with customers in US and Canada.
• Provide daily status reporting to Customer Service Manager/Supervisor.
• Follow up with Parts clerks for parts availability and ETA.
