Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the TRP Requirements and Controls Design team focused on diagnosing internal battery hardware failures and preventing thermal runaway. You will guide a high‑performing, safety‑driven group in an agile environment, aligning with GM's values and strategic initiatives.

You will mentor engineers, drive career growth, and enable data-driven decisions while managing budgets and cross-functional collaboration to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering including software/electrical/computer science related fields.
• 7+ years engineering experience in embedded control, data analytics or safety-critical systems.
• Experience with electrification, HV battery or thermal runaway propagation.
• Proven track record of successful project execution.
• Excellent multi-functional communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of software development processes with focus on requirements and controls design.
