Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. is seeking a Crew Lead / Technical Operator in Lansing, MI to oversee multiple lines, coordinate operator activities, and maintain a safe, orderly production floor.

You will train operators, monitor performance, and report on production metrics to ensure high-quality lithium-ion batteries are produced efficiently. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, continuous improvement, and collaboration with a Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience.
• 1 to 3+ years of experience mentoring and leading people in automated manufacturing.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate operator work assignments across multiple lines.
• Assist operators and monitor lines to keep them running smoothly by anticipating supply needs.
• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety standards.
• Set and reach daily production goals with the Production Supervisor.
• Ensure production metrics are met across lines (KPI's, SPQRCE).
• Create shift production reports on downtime, safety, quality, and buffer numbers.
• Provide clear communication between the Production Supervisor and line workers.
• Inspect materials and machines to identify maintenance needs and create daily maintenance check sheets.
• Troubleshoot production machines and escalate downtime issues as needed.
