Job summary

Cboe Europe is seeking a Head of European Compliance to lead and integrate its compliance function across the UK and the Netherlands, covering CEL, CCE, CEBV and CEIBV. This senior role reports to the SVP, Head of European Equities and the Chief Compliance Officer, with a mandate to mature the framework and governance of the group.

You will consolidate UK and NL teams, ensure independent second-line operation, and drive CRA/CMP outputs and governance improvements across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Significant senior compliance leadership experience at a trading venue, exchange, or regulated financial services firm.
• Strong knowledge of European market structure regulation and AML/KYC guidelines.
• Experience building/integrating cross-jurisdiction teams and reporting to Boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead UK and Netherlands Compliance into a single, strategically-led function.
• Ensure independence of second line of defence with clear delineation from first line.
• Own CRA and CMP, drive planning and assurance activities.
• Reposition the Compliance Manual and Rulebook as governance documents.
• Establish policy hierarchy and deliver a cross-jboe training programme across Europe.
• Develop MI and KRIs for RDC, ARCC and Boards.
• Oversee AML governance and MLRO responsibilities.
• Sign-off on external communications and marketing materials.
