Job summary

Ascendant is seeking a full-time Research Analyst based in Arlington, VA to support USTDA portfolio activities across Europe and Eurasia. The role emphasizes substantive research, analysis, and program evaluation along with administrative support.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of experience, a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), and strong writing and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office and data handling is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Strong writing and communication skills essential.
• Experience with research, program monitoring and evaluation.
• Regional knowledge for Europe and Eurasia is a plus.
• Security clearance background checks will be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substantive research for USTDA portfolio activities.
• Analyze programs and processes to determine effectiveness.
• Prepare reports, briefing books and other dissemination materials.
• Support monitoring, evaluation and administrative tasks for multi-year contracts.
