Job summary

UN Secretariat, Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia, seeks a policy analyst to accelerate the 2030 Agenda. You will produce briefing notes, support senior leaders, and analyze trends to inform planning and intergovernmental work.

The role involves coordinating with HQ and the regional office, supporting country teams, and contributing to knowledge sharing. Advanced degree and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in sustainable development, economics, public policy or social sciences.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in sustainable development, public policy or development cooperation.
• Experience with inter-agency/intergovernmental collaboration and partnerships.
• Desirable: experience in Europe and Central Asia region and data analytics.
• English required; French desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare briefing notes, mission packs and meeting readouts for senior leadership.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data on sustainable development trends and regional patterns using data visualization.
• Support intergovernmental processes and senior leadership visits.
• Facilitate information flow between Headquarters and the Regional Office.
• Contribute to knowledge management and policy support for RC system configuration.
