Job summary

Enbridge seeks an IT Systems Advisor to join the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) Systems team in Houston. You will translate business needs into clear requirements and support demand prioritization across trading, risk, treasury, and related activities.

You will write specs, create test cases, and coordinate enhancements and releases with stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams. This role emphasizes collaboration, problem solving, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Related university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline, or a two-year technical diploma with equivalent education/experience.
• 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in IT support, system analysis, business analysis, or related fields.
• Practical knowledge of Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) or related markets.
• Experience with enterprise technology solutions including requirements analysis, testing, implementation, and support.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities to manage multiple demands.

Responsibilities

• Capture and translate ideas, enhancements, defects and requirements into clear demand items for the ETRM team.
• Assess value, urgency, readiness, dependencies, and priorities to refine the backlog.
• Develop clear requirements, specifications, acceptance criteria, and test cases with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate enhancements, releases, infrastructure changes, and production readiness with multiple stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, report status, and elevate risks or issues through governance channels.
• Document standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in systems and processes.
