Job summary

American Power Innovations in Tulsa, OK seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer specialized in Engineered-to-Order power distribution centers. You will oversee end-to-end manufacturing from design collaboration to final assembly, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
• Experience with engineered-to-order power distribution centers.
• Proficiency in CAD software for design review and optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design engineers to translate requirements into manufacturable plans.
• Provide design-for-manufacturability input to improve efficiency and cost.
• Develop detailed manufacturing plans including workflows and resources.
• Continuously optimize processes to reduce lead times and costs.
• Source materials and evaluate alternatives for cost and quality.
• Design workspace layouts for fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Establish QA procedures and testing protocols for reliability.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and SOPs.
• Identify tooling and equipment needs and coordinate maintenance.
• Train production staff on new processes and standards.
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects.
