Job summary

Power Flame Incorporated, a subsidiary of Astec Industries, seeks an engineer to release products in an engineer-to-order process at our Parsons, KS site, coordinating design reviews, timelines and transfers to production.

The role involves reviewing quotes, updating BOMs, creating change orders and providing engineering support for burners and wiring diagrams. A 4-year degree and CAD experience are required.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from accredited university.
• 0-2 years of engineering experience.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to review orders for errors and conflicting information.
• Strong understanding of Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Ability to utilize multiple points of information to maintain and update order forms.
• Ability to create or modify oil and gas diagrams, burner assemblies, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to productively collaborate cross-functionally including with production and manufacturing teams.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Ability to utilize CAD tools, SolidWorks preferred.
• Microsoft Office Skills.

• Provide support and direction to the Manufacturing Department and Production Teams
• Provide engineering technical support on changes to be made to burners in the field, based on customer requests

LOCATION: This is an onsite position at our Power Flame site in Parsons, KS.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Responsible for the release of products in an engineer-to-order process to production. This includes specification reviews, developing project timelines and reports, design reviews, mechanical and electrical designs, documentation packages, pre-production builds and transfers to production. This engineer will also be responsible for technical support of some mature products currently in production.
