Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced ETL Engineer with deep expertise in Java Spring Batch to support a large-scale modernization initiative focused on decommissioning Informatica workflows. This role will analyze legacy ETL processes, translate complex business logic into modern data pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality ETL solutions.

Our client seeks an experienced ETL Engineer with deep expertise in Java Spring Batch to support a large-scale modernization initiative focused on decommissioning Informatica workflows. This role will analyze legacy ETL processes, translate complex business logic into modern data pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality ETL solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong Java development skills with ETL architecture experience and a passion for solving complex data integration challenges within an Agile environment.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $55.00 to $60.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Analyze existing Informatica workflows and ETL processes to understand business logic and data transformations.
• Design, develop, and enhance Java Spring Batch applications supporting enterprise-scale ETL processing.
• Translate legacy ETL workflows into modern, maintainable batch processing solutions.
• Develop robust data transformation, validation, and reconciliation logic to ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and application teams to define migration requirements.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot or similar technologies, to improve productivity and accelerate analysis.

Experience Requirements:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on Java and Spring Batch.
• Extensive experience developing enterprise ETL or batch processing applications.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Artifactory to support application release processes.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, including services such as ECS, ECR, and EC2.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience analyzing and migrating legacy ETL solutions, with Informatica preferred.
• Understanding of data integration, data quality, and reconciliation techniques.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience within the financial services industry.
• Preferred: Experience with Python-based ETL development.
• Preferred: Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or other Generative AI development tools.
• Preferred: Experience modernizing legacy data platforms and large-scale migration initiatives.
• Preferred: Knowledge of enterprise scheduling and orchestration tools.
• Preferred: Experience with cloud-based data processing platforms.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
