Job summary

BuzzClan LLC is seeking a Development Lead to own end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, and distribution. You will lead onsite presence in Orlando (Mon-Thu) and can work remotely on Fridays, guiding offshore teams and enforcing code quality.

You will work hands-on developing critical data pipelines, collaborating with architects and analysts to align data workflows with BI and analytics requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in data warehousing, data engineering, or ETL/ELT development, with 1–2 years in a lead role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and scripting languages like Python or Java.
• Hands-on experience with modern data integration platforms (AWS Glue, Apache Spark, Kafka).
• Deep understanding of data modeling (snowflake schemas) and real-time streaming architectures.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop data/ETL pipelines and review artefacts from offshore engineers.
• Conduct code reviews, facilitate agile ceremonies, and oversee delivery timelines.
• Design scalable batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines.
• Oversee ETL/Streaming processes across heterogeneous sources to data warehouses and lakes.
• Implement data profiling, validation, and automated testing for data integrity.
• Collaborate with data architects, admins, product owners, and analysts to translate requirements.
• Troubleshoot bottlenecks and optimize SQL queries; manage incidents.
