Job summary

Allocore seeks an ETL Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain ETL processes moving data from diverse sources into data warehouses or data lakes. The role requires collaboration with product owners and teams to implement scalable data integrations in a hybrid Mechanicsburg, PA environment.

Ideal candidates have a DevOps mindset, experience with SQL, APIs, and cloud data sources, and programming skills in Java or Python.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required and must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, business, accounting, finance, or equivalent experience
• Experience in a DevOps culture
• Cloud development using Docker and Kubernetes
• Software development practices with GitHub or similar tool
• Understand data warehouse concepts and ETL workflow fundamentals
• Refine and optimize implementation details as data volumes increase
• Proficiency with SQL, API access, and cloud data sources
• Experience programming in Java or Python and with ETL tooling

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test ETL data pipelines to move and transform data between sources and warehouses or data lakes
• Analyze database and API schemas to enable data source integration
• Collaborate with business/product owners to define software requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues through analysis and coding
• Work with business teams to triage data inquiries
• Deliver consistent software solutions across projects, independently or in teams
• Propose improvements to software products and processes
• Learn and develop new skills from day one
