Job summary

Spalding, a Saalex Company, in Lexington Park, MD, seeks a Data Engineer/ETL Developer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines within the DON Jupiter environment and AWS Gov Cloud.

Hybrid remote/in-office role with on-site required about 1 day per week for meetings and tasks. The role requires Informatica, Databricks, AWS, SQL, Python, and API work to support enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience applying modern data engineering methodologies.
• Strong proficiency in Informatica and Databricks for ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services and cloud migrations.
• Mastery of SQL is required.
• Excellent data analysis skills with Excel.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and ETL mappings.
• Build scalable extraction, transformation, and loading workflows in cloud environments.
• Write advanced SQL and Python scripts for data manipulation.
• Deploy APIs to connect data sources securely.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data warehouses.
