Job summary

Chief Ethanol Fuels, Inc. in Hastings, Nebraska, seeks an Operator to operate, control and troubleshoot the ethanol production process while meeting quality and efficiency goals.

The role includes directing production operators, learning equipment, following start-up/shutdown procedures, sampling and testing streams, and maintaining logs. Prior plant experience is preferred; 1-2 years recommended; on-the-job training available.

Qualifications

• Understanding of math and chemical process systems.
• 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• Previous plant experience preferred; on-the-job training available.

Responsibilities

• Operate, control and troubleshoot process areas of ethanol production facility to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Provide direction and instruction to production operators for efficient plant operations.
• Learn and operate production equipment and processes; follow start-up, shutdown and routine procedures.
• Sample and analyze process streams; keep accurate logs; respond to data to optimize operations.
• Assist Shift Supervisor and help control other areas; perform duties as assigned.
