Job summary

Pacer Financial’s ETF division in Malvern seeks an ETF Portfolio Operations & Capital Markets Analyst to support daily ETF management, trading, and operations oversight across portfolio management, trading, and fund operations.

The analyst will work with Portfolio Managers, Authorized Participants, brokers, custodians, and index providers to ensure accurate portfolios, timely settlements, and alignment with benchmark objectives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in ETF operations, portfolio operations, fund accounting, or related asset-management function.
• Strong understanding of investment operations, including portfolio holdings, cash management, trade processing, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Familiarity with ETF structures and mechanics, including NAV calculation, creation and redemption activity, basket construction, premiums and discounts, and index tracking.
• Understanding of equity markets, portfolio construction, and benchmark-based investment strategies.
• Experience with portfolio managers, custodians, fund accountants, brokers, market makers, or Authorized Participants.

Responsibilities

• Support Portfolio Managers in daily management and oversight of ETF portfolios.
• Maintain accurate index, benchmark, and portfolio holdings data across systems.
• Monitor holdings and exposures relative to benchmarks and guidelines.
• Identify and resolve tracking differences, position discrepancies, and cash imbalances.
• Support planning and execution of index reconstitutions and portfolio rebalances.
• Prepare rebalance files, trade lists, cash projections, and pre/post-trade analysis.
• Assist with execution and monitoring of equity, Treasury, FX, and other portfolio transactions.
• Monitor daily fund cash, subscriptions, redemptions, dividends, fees, and settlement activity.
• Perform daily position, trade, and cash reconciliations and resolve breaks.
• Process corporate actions and maintain related records.
• Maintain trades, settlement instructions, and activity within OMS and portfolio accounting systems.
• Coordinate with brokers, custodians, and fund accountants for accurate booking and timely settlement.
• Support ETF creation and redemption basket construction and testing.
• Monitor creations, redemptions, fund flows, premiums/discounts, and secondary-market activity.
• Collaborate with Authorized Participants and market makers to ensure liquidity.
• Assist with tax-aware portfolio management by monitoring gains/losses and tax lots.
