Job summary

Talisman is partnering with a leading prop trading firm to recruit an ETF Discretionary Trader who will run risk across ETF markets with a proven track record of discretionary market views. The role emphasizes risk-taking with autonomy over the book and a focus on ETF mechanics and cross-asset relationships.

Candidates should have 4+ years of discretionary P&L, comfort with data/tools (Python a plus), and a track record in high-pressure environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of profitable, verifiable discretionary trading P&L (ETFs or closely related cross-asset markets).
• Deep understanding of ETF mechanics, including creation/redemption, index construction, and cross-asset relationships.
• Experience trading asset classes outside of ETFs is a plus but not required.
• Comfort with data and execution tooling (Python a plus; this is a risk-taking seat, not a pure quant one).
• Track record of performing in a high-pressure, results-driven environment.
