Job summary

Talisman, in partnership with an established proprietary trading firm, seeks an ETF Trader to run risk on their own capital with full autonomy over a personal book.

This role is not execution-only; you’ll manage dollars P&L and take positions across ETFs, baskets, futures, and related products, building and scaling your own strategies in a high-pressure setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of profitable P&L in dollars from a book you traded
• Experience running your own risk rather than executing for others
• Deep understanding of ETF mechanics including creations/redemptions
• Experience across equity, fixed income or international ETFs
• Comfort with data and execution tooling
• Track record of performing in a high pressure, results-driven environment

We're partnering with an established proprietary trading firm on a search for an ETF Trader to run risk on their own capital. This is a risk-taking seat with full autonomy over your book.

This is not execution or ETF operations. You need P&L in dollars from a book you traded, not benchmark-relative returns.

Responsibilities

• Run your own book and your own risk across ETF markets
• Take directional and relative value positions across ETFs, baskets, futures and correlated products
• Identify and trade dislocations between products and across asset classes
• Manage risk in real time, including sizing, hedging and adjusting exposure through changing conditions
• Develop and scale your own strategies without a fixed house model

Requirements

• 4+ years of profitable P&L in dollars from a book you traded, whether solely or as part of a small team
• Experience running your own risk rather than executing for others
• Deep understanding of ETF mechanics, including creations and redemptions, index construction and cross-asset relationships
• Experience across equity, fixed income or international ETFs. Index arbitrage and cross-asset backgrounds also of interest
• Comfort with data and execution tooling
• Track record of performing in a high pressure, results driven environment
